Did you think it was all about writing songs together and performing them and having a load of fun and being in the right place at the right time to catch your big break?
Hmmm ... we did too ... and it kind of is, but it's also so much more.
We have come to realise it's about keeping your social media up to date, and networking with local venues and promoters and other bands, supporting your local music scene, contacting record labels, becoming your own manager, promoter, social media expert and producer, recording new songs, recording videos to go with them, organising rehearsal space, developing your brand, developing your look, practicing your stage presence, practicing your delivery, perfecting your instrumental skills, reworking your songs to make them better ...
It can be a full time occupation if you want to really be in with a chance of making a name for yourselves.
Don't be put off, yes it's a lot of work, it's not all beer and music and looking cool, but it's rewarding and fun and so worth it.
